Bringing together the community to support end of life care
The Network is a community-focused platform dedicated to enhancing existing end-of-life and palliative care services. It brings together a wide range of stakeholders including healthcare professionals, individuals receiving care, families, carers, and volunteers to improve understanding, future planning and community support around end of life.

Key offerings:
1. Workshops and events
- The network hosts interactive sessions—for both professionals and the public—covering topics such as “End of Life Friends” and advance care planning.
2. Resources
- An extensive resource directory includes local and national support services—from carers’ guidance to bereavement charities.
3. Informational Hub and Blog
- Easy to understand articles and blog posts with a focus on how to make plans and support someone dying at home.
Our Objectives
- To promote better understanding of “ordinary dying” in the Community.
- Promote greater understanding and engagement in advance care planning, including: Wishes and preferences, Advance Decision to Refuse Treatment (ADRT), ReSPECT and DNACPR documentation, Lasting Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare.
- Establish a central, trusted resource for information and signposting around ordinary dying and end-of-life care in the community.
- Deliver accessible, free workshops, including: “End of Life Friends” sessions to build public confidence and awareness and “Advance Planning Workshops” to support individuals in making informed decisions about their care.
- Encourage open dialogue and cross-sector collaboration by facilitating supportive social and professional networking opportunities.

Statement on Assisted Dying
We have a neutral stance on Assisted Dying. We support, advise and promote excellent end of life care within the current legislation and will continue to do so.
