Midhurst Palliative Care delivers pioneering, community-based specialist palliative and end-of-life care across rural West Sussex and surrounding areas—right in people’s homes, in community hospitals, or residential settings. Led by a consultant-led multidisciplinary team (including specialist nurses, therapists, counsellors, and volunteers), the service offers clinical interventions such as transfusions, IV therapies, and symptom management on-site, ensuring comfort and choice of care location. With strong integration across NHS, voluntary, and local services, their holistic, person-centred approach supports patients and families—helping many to remain at home—and includes bereavement counselling through a dedicated counselling suite established in the local community.
